# Troubleshoot issues when filling out a form

> Tips to help you troubleshoot common issues when filling out a form.

## How to fix common issues

**Form not loading or blank page**

* Clear browser cache and cookies
* Try a different browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge)
* Disable browser extensions (especially ad blockers)
* Check internet connection
* Check that the form hasn’t expired or closed

**Submit button not working**

* Ensure all required fields are filled in (look for red validation messages)
* Scroll up to check for missed fields
* Try refreshing and re-filling if the form seems stuck

**File uploads failing**

* Check [file size limits](https://www.fillout.com/help/file-upload#upload-limits)
* Try a different file format
* Ensure a stable internet connection during upload

**Form looks broken or misaligned**

* Try a different browser or device
* Zoom to 100% (Ctrl/Cmd + 0)
* Disable browser zoom or accessibility extensions that may interfere

**Payment not going through**

* Check that your card details are correct and up to date
* Make sure your card hasn't expired
* Check that your card has sufficient funds or available credit
* Check that your card isn’t locked or frozen in your bank or wallet app
* Try a different payment method if available

**Missing partial responses or lost progress**

* Make sure you're using the same device you used to start the form
* If the form requires login, use the same email address to access your saved progress
* If you think you may resume answering a form, avoid clearing browser data
